Moncton, June 10, 2019 – Plenty of fun will be in store for the nearly 400 participants already registered for the 4th edition of the Electrifying Night Run. The run, designed to improve the quality of life of all patients at the Breast Health Centre will be held on Friday June 14 in Moncton. Walkers and runners are encouraged to take part in the event that will begin at 9 p.m. in front of the Dr-Léon-Richard Oncology Centre.

“As a breast cancer survivor, I am grateful to everyone that supports the Electrifying Night Run in one form or another”, says Jeannette Mallet, survivor and member of the organizing committee.  “Thank you for contributing to the improvement of care and services offered to women like me at the Breast Health Centre. Your support makes all the difference!”

This annual event is a fun evening, even though it supports a very serious cause. Designed for running enthusiasts and amateurs alike, it is open to people of all ages. Registrants may choose to walk, run or combine walking and running over the five kilometers. Whether they are alone or part of a team, participants are encouraged to wear pink and to dress with originality. Prizes will be awarded in three categories: best individual costume; best team costume; and most original team name.

Funds raised in the 2019 edition will be used to continue offering non-insured services to patients in need, as well as to improve the quality of life of all patients at the Breast Health Centre. In 2018, more than 500 participants took part in the run that raised $24,000.
