"The feedback we received last year was so positive that we just had to do a second edition. Participants had a lot of fun, and the event was a great family activity. I hope we can count on the community’s support again this year.” - Dr. Jocelyne Hébert, surgeon at the Breast Health Centre.
Participants in the Electrifying Night Run have the option of walking or running (or a combination of the two) the five-kilometre route, which starts at the Dr. Léon-Richard Oncology Centre. Last year, the atmosphere was festive and the event raised more than $10,000. Once again this year, funds raised will be used to purchase prosthesis and mastectomy bras for breast cancer patients.
Jacques B. LeBlanc, President and CEO of the CHU Dumont Foundation, is thrilled that the Electrifying Night Run is back for another year.
“We are very fortunate to have the Breast Health Centre’s expertise at the Dr. Georges-L.-Dumont University Hospital Centre. By participating in this race, the community can show their support to staff and patients of the Centre. The Electrifying Night Run is the perfect family activity, or one that can be done with a group of friends. We hope the public will come out and show their support again this year!”
